Walther CCP Usage & Features
Are you right handed or left handed?
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
I noticed the ergonomic grip as soon as I picked it up. The fact that this is a single stack works well with my smaller hands.
Tell us about shooting this gun:
Single stack with a fabulous ergonomic grip, gas delay blowback, fixed barrel for better accuracy. The trigger pull has a longer reset but this is my carry gun not a competition gun. I also like that it has a thumb safety.
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
First off, this gun fits my hand. I have small hands and the way it fits and where my finger hit the trigger were something that I researched. This is a very easy gun to rack. The balance is very nice with this handgun and the recoil is easy to deal with. I handled many other guns but the combination of how this fit and the ease of operation made it the gun for me
How reliable is it?
I have had no issues with this gun at all.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
I have only used one type of ammunition so far but with no issues.
Does this gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
The sights are low profile but easy to get used to.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Take down is the only drawback with the CCP. The little tool needed to catch the hook at the back would be difficult for someone with larger hands to handle. Not to bad to take apart but I felt like I could have used a third hand to help out getting it back together.
Would you recommend this gun?
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Sweet shooting gun. Once you shoot it, you will be hooked.
Anything else you would like to share about the gun?
Still difficult to find holsters for.
