Kel-Tec P-11 Usage & Features
Are you right handed or left handed?
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
light weight, ccw friendly.
Tell us about shooting this gun:
Being light weight, recoil is significant.
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
Nice fit in hand, sights acceptable, moderate slide pull to rack, trigger pull acceptable, recoil significant.
How reliable is it?
Gun is not reliable at all, fails to feed often, excessive amount of malfunctions, has been returned to keltec twice with no satisfactory repair (probably needs stronger magazine spring but factory repair shop ignores obvious problem), definitely will not rely on the gun for self defense.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
Have fired only factory ball ammo and the gun continuously malfunctions; no satisfactory solutions from keltec (no plus p ammo used)
Factory does not recommend plus p ammo (which has never been used)
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
Unreliable, significant recoil
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Easy disassembly for cleaning.
Would you recommend this gun?
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
I would be hesitant to carry this gun for protection. Even though the gun has a lifetime guarantee for original owner, keltec will provide poor assistance with any problems you have. Check out youtube posts for the gun and you’ll see many that have had the same problems I have.
I consider the gun a waste of money. I returned it twice to keltec and the gun continue to malfunction often. I cannot with good conscience sell or trade the gun as is.
