Sig Sauer P228 Usage & Features
Primary Use: Other
Are you right handed or left handed? Right
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
Excellent quality, ease of use, amazing accuracy
Tell us about shooting this gun:
Carried it as my duty weapon as deputy sheriff. Continue to love this gun as a veteran/reserve deputy and have it with me most of the time. Would like another, smaller Sig to carry in my clutch purse since they have come out with smaller, more concealable 9s
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
All is great. Use quality ammo, as reloads/cheap loads are more apt to jam when shooting a lot at the range.
How reliable is it?
Most!
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
See above.
Does this gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:
Not really.
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
Not a thing.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
The Sig Sauer 228 is a well-made gun and has a lot of parts. Basic cleaning is simple.
Would you recommend this gun?
Yes
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Well-worn the investment. Might want to try the smaller, newer models to carry concealed.
Anything else you would like to share about the gun?
Love my Sig Sauer 228!
