Are you right handed or left handed?
Right
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
Slim profile, reliability, easy to shoot accurately, style.
Tell us about shooting this gun:
It’s a pleasure to shoot, very accurate and reliable (even 5000 rounds in, no misfires/malfunctions). Note that the magazine release is unlike other handguns, and that you should train to get used to it without worrying about the trigger.
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
The slim grip of the Walther PPS is not the most comfortable, but carrying it concealed easily is a breeze partly because of that slim grip. The slide is fairly easy, with great grip to grab the slide. The trigger pull is perfect, smooth. The recoil is one of the lightest I’ve felt, my 9 year old daughter has no problem with it either.
How reliable is it?
Very.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
No.
Does this gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:
The manufacturer recommends against hot loads, I usually use cheap ammo for target practice, and a hollow point calibrated for shorter barreled handguns when I carry.
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
Not a thing.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Taking down the Walther PPS was very easy, the levers to release the slide takes some getting used to.
Would you recommend this gun?
Yes
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Great carry piece, it’s my favorite to carry of the 4 I do.
