Springfield 911 .380 Usage and Features
Primary Use
Concealed Carry
Are you right or left-handed?
Right Handed
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
Small, easy to conceal, low recoil, great for small hands or arthritis as far as slide and mags
Tell us about shooting this gun.
Short crisp trigger, excellent grip, low recoil, standard night sights
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
Very manageable recoil
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
Safety control is easy to slide off but has easy slide pull, short crisp trigger unlike XDs pistols. Break down is very hard for small hands. Once apart extreme caution that safety doesn’t flip all the way up or the detent pin and spring will fly
Do you like the sights on this gun?
Love the standard night sights
How reliable is it?
I have a lot of issues with cycling and failure to eject. Sent back to Springfield. They buffed the ejector and I can get through a magazine of Hornady CD rounds then begins issues
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
Only will eat Hornady Critical Defense
Was it easy to take down and clean?
No. Takedown pin is extremely hard to line up when reassembling and if the safety gets too far up detent pin and spring goes flying. Not for small or arthritic hands
