What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
It’s a smaller Glock model that fits a smaller hand. The lighter weight makes for easier carry.
Tell us about shooting this gun.
There isn’t much recoil, so it is quick to get back on target for the next shot. It’s very accurate and easy to handle.
Please share: How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
The Glock 43 fits my small hand very well, no pinches when firing. The trigger pull is on the light side, and not much recoil. I’m very impressed with the lighter recoil as it makes it quicker to get back to the target for the next shot. The sights are easy to focus on, and there are aftermarket accessories that I may add, such as florescent green front sight, or laser. The model 43 slide is easy for me to operate, but I found other Glocks were quite stiff. Cleaning isn’t difficult either, I’ve taken it apart and back together just fine.
How reliable is it?
It’s a Glock!
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
I’ve not had a hard time finding 9mm ammo., and it seems to fire fine with any brand. I’ve not tried re-loads yet.
Was it easy to take down and clean? Please share.
It was easy to take down and clean, not much is required.
Would you recommend this gun?
Yes
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
The Glock 43 is a good all-around gun for women, with the lighter touch to all features.

So, I’m looking to get my girlfriend to be comfortable owning a firearm, she has shot before but not with me. She doesn’t recall what she had previously fired before and I’m looking for honest opinions on a firearm that may work best for a somewhat beginner. I also am obviously aware that it’s up to her on what she’s comfortable in her hands, I’m just looking for options. I’m a fan of Glock, but I’d be open to others for her to try. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Im not a gun expert but I really liked this Glock. I have tried the larger ones but this felt better in my hands and the recoil was less than the larger ones. I was able to place some rounds pretty tightly and I’m a beginner. Have used this on a range but am about to go buy my own. I’m a grandma so I guess if it works for me your gf should have an easier time!
