Home Defense
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
It’s small and not overwhelming for those leery of owning guns.
Tell us about shooting this gun.
Low recoil and relatively quiet although prone to stove piping when held lose wrist.
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
Almost no recoil
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
The gun is almost too small for my hand. It has a very stiff cocking spring making it difficult too almost impossible for someone with a weak wrist or hand strength to cock quickly although there is a ring pull option on the market that is supposed to assist with cocking which I haven’t tried. The magazine also has a very stiff spring which again makes things difficult for weak wrist/hands. The trigger is easy to pull without an additional safety switch.
Do you like the sights on this gun?
The sight is very basic, no frills and is lacking in my opinion.
How reliable is it?
Very reliable if held firmly.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
See above
Was it easy to take down and clean?
The spring is too stiff and requires good dexterity but otherwise very few parts and easy to take apart and put together.
Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?
How difficult loading the bullets into mag and cocking are.
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
This gun isn’t for the weak, or disabled if lacking arm hand strength.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
I wouldn’t recommend it if your disabled woman like I am. I haven’t found a good match for me yet, I love the Walther pk.380 for ease of mag loading and cocking its far superior to the Glock 42 BUT the Walther pk .380 is a pain to take apart.
