Glock 42 Usage and Features
Are you right or left-handed?
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
easy to take apart; easy to rack the slide; reliable
Tell us about shooting this gun.
I love to practice shooting this gun because it’s reliable and it doesn’t give me any problems with racking the slide; ejecting the casings, or chambering a new round
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
the recoil is very manageable – much less than a .38 Special revolver
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
it fits great in my hands, which are on the smaller size. I have no issues with pulling the slide with a proper grip. the magazine is easy to release – it doesn’t stick. the trigger pull is smooth and it’s not a long trigger pull which I love.
Do you like the sights on this gun?
the sights are fine – they are white dots. eventually, I might change them to night sights (glow in the dark).
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
I’ve noticed that I have better luck with round nose FMJ ammo than flat nose. Once I start shooting it more and break it in better, I might switch.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
It’s very easy to take down, clean and put it back together.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
I would absolutely recommend this firearm to others. I have zero complaints about this gun.
