Walther CCP Usage & Features

Primary Use:

Concealed Carry

Are you right handed or left handed?

Right

What features does this gun have that appealed to you?

Has a easy thumb reach safety on the side which was a must for my confidence. It’s well made, comes from Germany. I’m elderly, and disabled and really wanted some protection. I didn’t think I could hold and handle larger than a 22. Got this in my hand and was sold instantly. After A LOT of searching. I just has a really good feel in my hand.

Tell us about shooting this gun:

Very accurate. Hit what I was aiming for first shot. Hadn’t shot in 35 years! Very little kick, it’s designed to have less and it does.

How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?

Great grip. Has a very nice shape handle that fits your hand. Has a spot for your forefinger for your support hand which I find really helps keep the aim steady. Sights are permanent. And set great. Bright enough to see. Slide racks easier than a lot of guns I tried. Trigger pulls smooth and doesn’t take forever to get there. This gun is made to have less recoil and it does have less than a number of guns I tried out.

How reliable is it?

Honestly I haven’t had it very long, but I trust it completely. I’m being trained by an older military vet who gave it rave reviews when I asked him to shoot it.

Any problems with any type of ammunition?

No ammunition problems. I have used practice shoot, dummies and personal safety ammo. They all preformed correctly in the gun.

Does this gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:None.

What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?

I love shooting it!!

Was it easy to take down and clean?

Very easy after first try.

Would you recommend this gun?

Yes

For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?

Try every gun you can get your hands on. Don’t be shy, don’t be intimidated. If this gun is right for you you’ll know it. Play with it before you buy. Even if it’s just dry shooting in the store. Don’t let the clerk rush you. It’s your gun.

Anything else you would like to share about the gun?

I’ve found this gun to be a very comfortable appendix carry.
