Grip safety which forces high proper hold, slimness of the grip and ability to change back strap as needed.

Tell us about shooting this gun:

I have shot the Springfield Armory XDS twice for a total of 100 rounds plus I shot a rental of 50 rounds prior to purchasing.  I found this gun easy to handle, easy to grip and the recoil was easy to handle.  This gun does feel extremely heavy in the hand.

How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?

The Springfield Armory XDS fits in the handle comfortable even with the textured grip.  I am still working on how to use the sights but the sights are Fiber Optic Front & Dovetail Rear.  I was first concerned with the slide but found it easy to maneuver.  The trigger pull was not an overly heavy trigger and crisp.  Minimal recoil.

How reliable is it?

I have found it to be extremely reliable.

Any problems with any type of ammunition?

I have only shot 115 gram Federal white box but have not had any trouble with ammunition.

This is an easy to gun to take down and clean.

It is easy to use, teaches proper grip, slim grip and not extremely heavy to carry.
