Sig P365 Usage and Features

Primary Use

Concealed Carry

Are you right or left handed?

Right Handed

What features does this gun have that appeal to you?

I love the size of the Sig P365 and the 10+1 round capacity. Because I have small hands and found this gun fits my hand perfectly and fires flawlessly (with the exception of one particular ammo see note under ammo)! I have a Glock 43x that I love but I find the Sig P365 easier to conceal. It racks slightly harder than my Glock 43x but it’s very manageable. It also has a bit more recoil than the Glock – a bit snappier, but again, very manageable! I love the grip on this gun and the sights as well. It does not have an external safety, but I’m fine with it. …but this could be a downside for someone who wants an manual/ external safety. Overall I LOVE this gun. I use my Glock more at the range but my Sig P365 is my EDC!

Tell us about shooting this gun.

I’m used to my Glock and how it shoots so the first time I shot Sig P365 I did notice it was a bit snappier but very manageable. The trigger is crisp. Racking it is a little bit tougher than my Glock but very manageable…..I ordered TWAW slide spider and it has helped tremendously! Most people won’t find racking it a problem at all!

How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?

Yes. There is some recoil but easily managed.

How does it fit your hand, are the controls easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)

I have small hands. The Sig P365 fits my petite frame perfectly! There is no manual safety. Mag release is easy to reach, trigger pull is crisp and clean.

Do you like the sights?

Yes! Tritium sights. The front sight is bright green. Makes it easy to focus on that front sight!

How reliable is it?

My Sig P365  has been flawless so far with any FMJ ammo, and I’ve put more than 1000 rounds through it —- see note below on ammo.

Any problems with any type of ammunition?

Colt hollow point defense ammo 124 grain jammed more than once in this gun. I have used various types of FMJ With no issues at all!

Was it easy to take down and clean?

Yes! Very easy!

Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?

No nothing!

For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?

It’s perfect for someone who has small hands and it’s also easy to conceal. Guns are not a one size fits all, so if you can try before you buy I encourage you to do so. I love the Sig P365 !!

Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?

Highly recommend it!

Thanks for sharing – I recently bought a Sig P365 and had to purchase a loader for the magazines as they are just too stiff for me. I am still breaking mine in, so not sure how I like it. I do like the size and feel, but mine is still a little tighter than I would like it. The slide lock and release are a little tricky, hoping they function better once fully broken in.

thank you for sharing . I am on the hunt for looking for a conceal and carry. I am petite 5 ft tall, and 101 poumds. Don’t normally wear tught clothing but woul d like to be comfortable carring it around with me…

Great review! One addition: it DOES have the option to come with a manual safety. I just bought it in November 2021 and as a first time gun owner, chose one with a manual safety. So, if someone is interested in this gun but also wants that option, they can have it. I have small hands and yes, it feels like “home” in my hands. Very manageable. I have had multiple petite frames friends handle my gun and they all have loved it. A great gun!

I love my Sig p365 too! I’m a new shooter, and at first I thought I bought the wrong gun. The guys at my local gun store are very helpful and taught me different ways to rack the slide, which I found really difficult to do at first. Now I’m used to it and am loving it! It fits my small hands beautifully…that was the main reason I bought it. I also bought some extended magazines which make it even sweeter! Now I’m trying different holsters to see which ones work best with my ridiculously non-curvy frame. I’ve tried other guns but always seem to come back to this one!
