Primary Use

Target Shooting

Are you right or left handed?

Left-Handed

What features does this gun have that appealed to you?

Well it’s a M&P!!! Have great success with my full size – then there is that little problem BEING LEFT-HANDED –

Tell us about shooting this gun.

Fun to use this gun I ONLY use this for tactical classes and not for my edc –

How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?

Absolutely- love this gun –

How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)

Fits my hand well EXCEPT FOR BEING LEFT-HANDED!!! You can’t reach the safety- It’s impossible (tiny and which appendage am I supposed to use my nose???? Because I have to keep my grip and I have a loaded firearm.  Oh I’ve tried called S&W custom center – but they won’t even try to modify for us lefties. And I live in California so there is that problem too.

Do you like the sights on this gun?

I got the night sites at time of purchase and I like them

How reliable is it?

Very!!!

Any problems with any type of ammunition?

I use reloads and it has worked wonderfully

Was it easy to take down and clean?

I need help to take the gun apart – needed my hubby’s strong hands.

Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?

That it’s not adaptable for us lefties Like the full size is.

For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?

If you’re left-handed AND want to use this for your edc – keep looking.

Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?

Yes

I own the M+P Shield 9mm and LOVE the way it shoots and handles EXCEPT the slide is very hard to pull back so putting the bullet in the chamber is a problem for me, and also when sliding back the slide to clean is not easy for me. SO, I bought the EZ model and the slide is very nice but I have not shot it yet. The original shoots really straight and am hoping EZ is going to track as well. I carry it daily so need to get down to the range to shoot it. Get a real feel for it. Feels good in the hand.

I have a safty on mine. I just don’t use it. I’m a left handed shooter too. For a real left handed gun check out the new Walther PDP F-series 3.5 all the controls including mag release can be left hand oriented.
