Sig Sauer P365 Usage and Features

Primary Use

Concealed Carry

Are you right or left handed?

Right handed

What features does this gun have that appealed to you?

Easy to conceal, size, lightweight, mild recoil, easy racking slide, night sights

Tell us about shooting this gun.

This gun fits! Recoil is minimal, so sighting back in after firing is easy. Racking the slide back is easy even for arthritic hands like mine. Love the sights, especially in low light. Very reliable with minimal hang fire…suspect even these rare instances were more related to technique than the gun ;). I find a magazine loader is a must with this.

How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?

Very! Barely noticeable.

How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)

This fits my small hands very well, and my husband has tried it and says it also feels good in his larger hands. The extended magazines help if your hands are bigger.

Do you like the sights on this gun?

Very much! I want these sights on my other gun

How reliable is it?

So far I’ve found it to be extremely reliable.

Any problems with any type of ammunition?

None thus far (about 400 rounds fired at this point).

Was it easy to take down and clean?

Yes.

Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?

No.

For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?

If you’re looking for a carry weapon and are more comfortable with a .380 than a 9mm, as I am, this is a great option for you. I had the P365 9mm but was uncomfortable with the recoil.

Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?

Yes, I recommend this gun.

I recently bought this pistol and like it a lot. Having trouble finding a IWB holster that fits it and doesn’t print. I purchased and am using a We The People holster. Very good retention and comfortable but printing way more than I’ve run into with other pistol/IWB holster combinations. I am small framed. Anyone found a IWB holster they like?

      Hello there!
The Well Armed Woman designed a kydex holster called the Slim Carry Holster that is produced by a company called Neptune. This holster comes equipped with a “grip tuck wing” that helps pull the gun closer to your body that helps with hiding it a bit more. Along with other modifications TWAW made to help conceal on women better. If you go to the following page, you will see a link to their site along with a special promo code for a free gift. I hope this helps! Where To Shop

For me It’s 1911’s. My hubby is retired LEO- and I have tried alot of brands- I despise Glock- and questioned a Glock rep- he said” the founder is not interested in women’s hands being smaller- My hubby had problems with Kimber, He has a Springfield & Colt. I love my 1911 Browning 380 Black Label and my Ruger 9mm Lightweight Commander-both fit my hand- I’m 5”10 but medium size hands- the beauty of 1911’s they all work the same! John Browning knew what he was doing.

I have the Sig P365X. My hands are small but the grip fits my hands very comfortably. It’s not as snappy as the Glock 43x which is the gun I traded to buy the Sig. A girlfriend of mine and I go shooting together and she has trouble rocking my gun. I have weak, arthritic hands, but I use a push pull technique to rack, so I really don’t have any trouble racking it. Another bonus is it has a cut out so you can add a red/green dot to it. I chose a Holosun 507. I am not very big, 110 pounds but I find that I can conceal this pistol without too much of a problem. I wear it.IWB. I’ve only shot about 900 rounds out of it so far, but it has never failed to shoot. It’s hard for me to field strip this gun Likey due to hand strength. I love this gun!

Thanks for your review. I’ve been considering getting this gun and your comments on the recoil and racking the slide are pluses for me. I’ve seen a couple video reviews that mention problems with it not cycling correctly or ejection issues, so I’m glad to see that wasn’t an issue for you.
