Are you right or left handed?
Right Handed
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
I didn’t seek out this gun, my husband bought it for me.
Tell us about shooting this gun.
I shoot this gun every time I go target shooting just to stay comfortable. It’s not the best for target but I expect will do what it’s supposed to do if I ever need to use it. Tends to be picky with the ammo used.
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
Recoil isn’t bad but the short fat grip is a challenge until you get used to it.
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
I have a large palm with short fingers. I had trouble until I got the extended magazine which helps a lot. The grip is short and thick. Smaller hands would have a hard time getting a firm grip and still reach around to the trigger. Everything else is easy to use.
Do you like the sights on this gun?
Yes.
How reliable is it?
As I stated above, it tended to jam with some older plinking ammo we had. Since I realized it was jamming with the cheap stuff I only use the higher end ammo and I haven’t had any issues.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
The Glock 26 super easy to clean! The breakdown is effortless. So much easier than my Kimber and Springfield 1911s!
Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?
The short grip. And I now know I prefer the weight and trigger of a 1911.
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Try it. Everyone has their preferences. Now that I’ve had the chance to try other guns, I don’t care to shoot any of the Glocks we have.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
I don’t prefer this Glock. Recently, I purchased a Springfield EMP 9mm 1911 for my concealed carry gun and I LOVE IT! I also have a Kimber .45 Ultra and a Springfield A1 9mm 1911 target. I really am loving the 1911s!
