As a petite female who frequently felt vulnerable traveling alone all over the east coast Dawn Dolpp realized the necessity of possessing good situational awareness skills but she knew learning to avoid becoming a victim was not always enough. As a wife and mother, Dawn felt it was important to sign her family up for martial arts training and eventually firearms training in 2009. A few months later Dawn obtained her conceal carry permit and has continued her firearms training by taking courses from the local Sheriff’s Department, military trained firearms instructors, NRA Instructors, NRA and USCCA Training Counselors. Dawn volunteers her time helping to educate, equip and empower women as a leader of the TWAW Southside, VA Chapter and TWAW Lynchburg Chapter of The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters, Inc. She serves as the TWAW VA State Leader and was recently named as the TWAW Regional Trainer for WV, VA & MD. She practices at the range routinely to maintain her skills and continues to take classes to further her firearms training. Dawn teaches individuals and group firearms training and personal safety classes. While her focus lies in assisting women of all ages and skill sets on how to safely handle, care for and feel comfortable with their firearms and personal safety Dawn routinely teaches co-ed classes as well.

    I have taken both the NRA RSO and USCCA Instructor class from Dawn and will sign up for anything she comes to town to teach! Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious and her knowledge of and commitment to firearms and firearm safety is second to none. Two thumbs up!!!

    I took my NRA rifle instructor class from Dawn. I was very pleased with her professionalism and preparedness. I would highly recommend her for your firearms training needs.

    I took a CRSO class with Dawn in August. Dawn is so knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Dawn makes her classes enjoyable and grabs the attention of every student. I highly recommend Dawn.

    I had the opportunity to take my USCCA Instructors Course with Dawn, this was my first interaction with Dawn and I am so happy that I had the pleasure of being her student. She bring a wealth of knowledge and energy each and every time. Extremely energetic and passionate about educating and empower shooters!

    Took the USCCA Instructor course with Dawn.
    Was able to take material I expected to be bored by and make it interesting and fresh. She’s like the energizer bunny of speaking presentation. If you’re considering a class from Dawn it would be well worth your time.

    Dawn’s number one concern on the range is Safety. For your own safety and for the safety of others! Dawn is so knowledgeable and yet she is so understanding when instructing those who need help since they are beginners! What a lady!

    Dawn was my training counselor for the USCCA instructor program. She made the material interesting, relevant, and useful to us as we began our instructorship journey. She cares about her students’ success and ensures mastery of the material. I look forward to the opportunity to train with her again

    I took the USCCA instructor’s course from Dawn. She may be little, but she sure is mighty! A dynamo in a small package. Patient, knowledgeable and one of the best instructors I’ve had the privilege of training under and with. I highly recommend her!

    Dawn is very passionate about what she does. She is a knowledgeable NRA and USCCA instructor and trainer. She treats you with respect and will go the extra mile to help you. She is a strong supporter of like minded women and determined to conquer anything.
