Walther PPQ M2 Usage and Features
Are you right or left-handed?
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
This gun has true ambidextrous controls, and for a lefty, that’s a big deal. The trigger is incredible; crisp and light. The ergonomics make the gun feel like the grip was custom fit to your hand. As a lefty, it is not easy to find such a user-friendly gun. This is it!!!
Tell us about shooting this gun.
I have been more accurate with this gun from the very first round than any other handgun I have ever fired, in any caliber. The gun feels stable and substantial without feeling bulky. It shoots like a dream and is fun to fire. My sister-in-law tried it out and after putting only 10 rounds through it, immediately wanted one of her own. It’s that great to shoot!
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
The recoil is minimal and extremely manageable.
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
The ergonomics are phenomenal. It is easy to clean, easy to operate, and so easy to own! Because the magazine release can be switched, it’s perfect for me as a lefty. The slide pull is one of the easiest that I have tried to operate as well and would probably work well for someone with small hands or someone with weak hand strength. The trigger pull is the lightest and smoothest I have found direct from a manufacturer. No need to switch to aftermarket.
Do you like the sights on this gun?
I love the sights. They’re basic but they’re clear and crisp and easy to quickly align. They’re polymer and I’ve had people try to criticize the gun because if it, but sights are easy to change and the gun is so incredible that if a polymer sight is its biggest issue, I’ll gladly deal with it!
How reliable is it?
I have not had one misfire or issue. Solid reliability every time I shoot it. I know I can count on this firearm.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?
Nope. This has become my new favorite and has also become my EDC because it is so comfortable, so consistently reliable and so easy to keep on target successfully.
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Don’t hesitate. If you can find one, get it. Especially if you are a lefty!!! Then get the extended magazines. It just may become your go-to also.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
Absolutely yes. I think this gun is vastly underrated in the semi-auto world.
