Sig Sauer P238 Lady Usage & Features
Are you right handed or left handed?
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
Small, easy to conceal, lightweight.
Tell us about shooting this gun:
Accurate, easy to rack, soft trigger pull.
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
Gun is small and fits my hand perfectly. Sights are accurate. Easy to rack the slide; this has been a problem with other guns since I do not have strong hands (I’m 71 years old). Trigger pull is gentle and comfortable. Recoil is negligible.
How reliable is it?
Very reliable gun. I was having some problems with jams after I dropped it a couple of times, so I returned it to Sig for repair. They fixed it and returned it to me – no charge.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
No ammo problems. I don’t buy expensive ammo – probably mid-range price.
Does this gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
I love shooting this gun.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
I hate cleaning it. I also own a revolver, which is a dream to clean. Semiautomatics are just harder to take apart and clean.
Would you recommend this gun?
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
A great gun for concealed carry – small and lightweight. I have a revolver which I keep by my bedside. The P238 goes with me in a carry purse (that I bought from TWAW).
Anything else you would like to share about the gun?
Great little gun. Good first choice. Easy to rack, accurate to shoot. Strongly recommend it for first time gun owners.
