Are you right handed or left handed?
Right
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
I particularly like the striker fire. It has less kick than a hammer fired gun. It is a nice fit in my hand.
Tell us about shooting this gun:
It is fun to shoot as it has less kick than a hammer fired gun. Accuracy is very good on this model, I like the way it fits in my hand.
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
This is a nice fit in my hand, sights are good and it is a very accurate gun. It is easy to rack the slide. Trigger pull is great, it fires at about half to 3/4 back rather than full trigger pull. Recoil is less than a hammer fired gun. I really enjoy shooting this gun and other than my 22 Ruger which is great for range practice because it has no recoil, my Ruger LC9s is easily my favorite.
How reliable is it?
The gun is very reliable and does not misfire, needs to be cleaned after about 200-250 rounds to keep it operating at its best.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
No problems.
Does this gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:
No.
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
I love everything about this gun.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Very easy to take down and clean following the video that Ruger provides. I had never taken down a gun for cleaning in my life and the video was very informative and easy to follow along with. Reassembly was also very easy.
Would you recommend this gun?
Yes.
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Small enough for concealed carry but big enough to get the job done.
Anything else you would like to share about the gun?
I love it.
