Kimber Micro 380 Usage and Features
Are you right or left handed?
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
Small and accurate. I was concerned about going with a 380 that I may have too much recoil but nope.
Tell us about shooting this gun.
This is my every day carry. I love how compact it is. I also love that I am very accurate with it. My first EDC was a Springfield XDS and I needed something smaller. I still like my Springfield but have not carried it in some time. The Kimber does have an external safety which when I carry in my holster that are like spanx shorts I like that I can switch it on for extra safety. (always use a trigger guard) Only thing I would say that I don’t like and it is cosmetic is that I purchased a two-tone and some tops it can show through.
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
minimal recoil. I have weak hands and this is a plus
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
It took a little bit of time to break in for my micro 9mm Kimber but my 380 was right away. The micro 9 was bought used and I don’t think the previous owner took that good of care of it…
Do you like the sights on this gun?
yes. the sights are adequate
How reliable is it?
VERY reliable and accurate
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
Only ammo problem is sometimes it is more difficult to come by but that is also the sign of 2020. It can be a little more expensive than 9mm too. I use it as my EDC and do practice with it but it is not my go to range gun.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Not easy to take down. You don’t need special tools but you do have to do some awkward hand-holding.
Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?
Like it all
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Yes! Small or large hands you will do fine.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
