Tell us about shooting this gun.
I really like my G43, but I like my 43x more. I was pleasantly surprised how much better it felt in my hands. I was also able to shoot it one handed better than my G43.
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
Yes. The larger surface area allows a better grip on the gun, better recoil control and faster time back on target.
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
The larger grip fits my small hands well. I cannot reach the mag release on any gun without a slight rotation of my hand, this gun is no different. Locking the slide back feels the same as any other Glock.
Do you like the sights on this gun?
The sights are standard Glock sights. I am used to them and see them well. They could be upgraded to fiberoptics if desired.
How reliable is it?
No failures thus far. I would expect typical Glock reliability.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
Was it easy to take down and clean?
Yes. Takes down like all Glocks.
Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
As with any gun, try to shoot one first and see if you like it. If you like Glocks, you will like the 43X. It will fit the same holsters as a G43.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
Yes, if one shoots Glocks well, you will like the 43X !
