FMK 9C1G2 usage and Features
Are You Right or Left Handed?
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
What appealed to me the most was the color! The frame is Tiffany blue, and the slide is Silver. The prettiest color combination on a gun!
Tell us about shooting this gun.
Honestly, this was my first 9mm and when I first shot it, it kept jamming and had feeding problems. The ammo I was using was Lawman 147Gr. My husband decided to give it a try and he only had 1 jam. I’ve tried different ammo since then and the gun has given me less problems. But, the last time I took it to the range we BOTH had several problems. I’m planning on contacting FMK.
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
The 9C1G2 fits my hand comfortably, and I love that the back strap has a soft rubber feel. The sights are HORRIBLE. I would love to purchase some from TrueGlo. I wish it had serrations in the front of the slide as well as the back. Trigger pull is heavy to me, and after shooting maybe 30 rounds, my finger starts to hurt. Recoil isn’t the greatest to me either.
How reliable is it?
On a scale of 1-10, it is a 4 to me.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
I have been told to use higher grain ammo.
Does the gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:
Maybe just try to focus on getting high grain ammo.
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
All the problems I am faced with. I would love to figure out why and what can I do to fix it.
Was it easy to take down and clean? Please share.
Yes, it is easy to take down and it being light colors you can tell where it is dirty from.
Would you recommend this gun?
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
Do your research and maybe try finding someone that will let you shoot theirs so you are sure it is the right fit.
Anything else you would like to share about the gun?
Do not try going for a gun just because it looks “pretty” and ignore all of the bad reviews. I know I did and I’m actually pretty disappointed in myself. Take all the reviews into consideration and go from there.
