Left-Handed

What features does this gun have that appealed to you?

In my quest to find the ultimate left-handed gun – I purchased a 1911. Ambidextrous thumb safeties!!!

Tell us about shooting this gun.

He is heavy, all steel, no polymer on this old dude. Sooo smooth to shoot. It’s like a fine bottle of wine. Gets better with age.

How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?

5” barrel – heavy steel firearm – minimal recoil.

How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)

Fits perfects. Easy and smooth. 1911’s are known for the smooth trigger pulls. Slide pulls are sweet and easy.

Do you like the sights on this gun?

Yes, it comes with target sights.

How reliable is it?

Well here is where the irrigation’s starts… the old dude only likes manufactured ammo No reloads not even reliable reloads. He get dirty fast! These dudes have minimal tolerances since they’re all steel. This dude needs lots of cleaning!! And I have had to bow out of a few competitions because he needed a cleaning. Bummer!!

Any problems with any type of ammunition?

No reloads!! He no like!!

Was it easy to take down and clean?

Well yes but… it’s not a striker fire So the first few times can be tricky. Watch YouTube video first!!! Lots of parts!!!

Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?

Old dude gets dirty to fast!!!

For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?

If you’re a connoisseur of fine armory – yes you should take the plunge – for everyday – ummm no.

Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
