In the world we live in today, disagreement, arguments, and judgment surround us. With so much angst along with a lack of understanding and tolerance for the concealed carry lifestyle you have chosen, many want to make you feel like you are a paranoid gun nut if you are known to be carrying. I say “no more!” It is time we carry confidently and confidentially live our lives as armed self-protectors free from worry about what others think.
This is your life and you have chosen to take control. You are not bound by fear, nor do you let it run your life.
To maintain your lifestyle of fearlessness and freedom, it must be your mindset at all times. You must continue your training both physically and mentally.
I know that many of you think you’re printing and it can be especially nerve-racking when you start to carry, trust me, I know! I would look down at my waistband or look in the mirror and all I would see is “GUN”. But… are you printing? If so, what can you do about it?
Women have multiple challenges carrying a firearm. Many of those challenges are due to the curves and shorter waists of the female body. Concealed carry for larger women has some additional issues that only exacerbate the already challenging problem of finding holsters that can be worn comfortably, discreetly, safely and allow for effective access to the gun should the need arise.
Finding a great holster for your active lifestyle doesn’t have to be a challenge! I have compiled a list of what you should look for in an exercise holster and suggestions for holsters that work for exercising and an active lifestyle. A safe, reliable, comfortable holster is important to have for every activity level.
One of the most exciting things I can report this year is that many more women are carrying concealed and the way they carry their firearms is changing! With the commitment to education and training that I have seen you undertake this past year, you are carrying your firearms primarily on the body and on or in your waistbands (which is the best location for safe and easy access). This shows just how committed you are to finding the best and safest carry on the body positions and holsters! I am so proud of you! KUDOS!!
