Tell us about shooting this gun:

This gun is easy to shot in a 40 caliber. It is reliable. The recoil is easy for a small 40. I carry it on my CCW

How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?

It’s a good fit, but I added the finger extension because the grip is the compact size, so it is short. The finger extension is from Pierce and they are for the Springfield XD…which is what is suggested online.

It is ok to rack, the trigger is DA/SA or DAK. I have the DAK (Double action only). The recoil is fine. The model I have is the Extreme with the Hogue grips

How reliable is it?

Very reliable. No issues. I carry it and depend on it

Any problems with any type of ammunition?

No ammo issues.

Does this gun have any specific ammunition requirements? If so, please explain:

No ammo requirements.

What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?

The only thing I didn’t like is that Sig does not provide the extended finger plate. I had to get it from Pierce for the XD magazine, and I had to have some edges smoothed. But now that that is done, the short magazines work fine with my large hands.

Was it easy to take down and clean?

Very easy. The Sig takedown is one of my favorite.

Would you recommend this gun?

Yes

For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?

You will like this gun. It is a bit shorter/smaller than the P229. With 10+1 in the mag, though, it is a bit heavier than a Shield or LC380/LCP…obviously. But you can get this in 9mm or 40. You can also get it in DA/SA or DAK. The DAK is like carrying a 10+1 semi-auto revolver.

Anything else you would like to share about the gun?

I love it.
