Smith & Wesson Shield .40 Usage & Features
Primary Use:
Home Protection
Are you right handed or left handed?
Right
What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
This is a light weight gun that is easy to handle. I find it easy to conceal as well because it is not a large, standard sized .40 either.
Tell us about shooting this gun:
This gun handles really nicely and does not have massive recoil.
How does it fit your hand, how do you like the sights, how difficult is it to rack the slide, how would you describe the trigger pull, and how would you describe the recoil?
I have long fingers and this gun fits my hands very nicely. The sights that come standard on the gun are easy to use. It is not difficult to rack the slide on this gun. The trigger pull does not take a lot of force but requires enough force to not accidentally pull the trigger. There is not a lot of recoil for such a short muzzled .40
How reliable is it?
I have fired well over 100 rounds with this gun and it has never misfired or jammed.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
I have used numerous different brands and types of ammunition with this gun and have not issues with any of them.
What do you dislike about shooting this gun, if anything?
I have not disliked anything about the Shield 40.
Was it easy to take down and clean?
This gun is very easy to take down and clean and requires very few steps to take down.
Would you recommend this gun?
Yes.
