The Story

This is the era of second jobs, side hustles, and having everything delivered. Whether you are using UberEats or getting deliveries from personal sellers on social media, people are making connections with more and more people they don’t know. For the most part, I love this trend! However, sometimes a routine delivery can turn into anything but normal. That is what happened to a woman delivering a package of toddler’s clothes to a buyer.

What Can We Learn?

Always be prepared. I understand the need for a side gig to make extra cash. I understand that women need to do what they have to in order to make ends meet. However, we also need to be safe. If you are delivering products to people in the community, you must take the steps to do whatever you need to do to protect yourself. Take self-defense classes, have the tools you need to protect yourself. Firearms, pepper gel, batons, stun guns, etc. are all options for self-protection. If you want to learn about concealed carry, now is the time. The important thing is to get training so you are proficient and safe when protecting yourself.
