What features does this gun have that appealed to you?
I have a problem gripping the slide. I have tried and tested numerous brands and calibers. This is the only one that I can easily load and unload. I also have trouble loading the clips. So that job goes to my husband.
This Walther PK380 has such a smooth slide that doesn’t put stress on my hands and wrists.
Tell us about shooting this gun.
This pistol is easily sited and pretty dead on the bullseye. I love this pistol.
How would you describe the recoil, is it manageable?
Recoil is not too bad. The barrel recoils about 1/2 “ up from the firing position. Not near as much recoil as my 9mm.
How does it fit your hand, are the controls of this gun easy to use? (Safeties, slide pull, magazine release, trigger pull, etc.)
This is the easiest slide, mag release, and trigger pull is a medium pull. I still can pull trigger with little stress on my hands and pretty well hit target every time.
Do you like the sights on this gun?
Sights are level and fires on target each time.
How reliable is it?
Very reliable and have never had problems with this pistol.
Any problems with any type of ammunition?
No
Was it easy to take down and clean?
I have to get my husband to break it down and reassemble. This is due to hand problems.
Is there anything you dislike about shooting this gun?
No, I love this pistol. One of my favorites.
For someone considering this gun, what would you tell them?
If you have arthritis or grip problems and you cannot grip your hands, then try this pistol. It maybe your best bet.
Would you recommend this gun? If no, do you have a preferred gun?
Yes, yes, yes.
This gun actually holds 8 in the magazine. I own one in Cheetah print I named Sheba. I love how it shoots and how easy it is to rack the slide like a hot knife through butter. I have not had any ammo issues with it. Only one gripe is the recoil spring is hard to get back in when it’s broken down to be cleaned. It’s easy to carry and easy to use no matter if your left or right handed. I would not trade this gun for any other gun. I love it.
I have to agree with Nancy. I have tried several guns; Glocks, S&W, and have found this gun to be perfect for my needs. I had a total shoulder replacement due to an injury, and this gun is the easiest for me to use, and the recoil has not bothered my shoulder in any way. Love my gun!
