Top Shot shooter teaches Greenville ladies firearm skills

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) –

International competitive shooter, former Olympian and the History Channel’s Top Shot star Gabby Franco brought her firearm skills to Greenville Monday.

Franco hosted multiple women’s only classes, teaching small groups at Sharpshooters in Greenville firearm safety and skills to improve their aim.

She says the growing number of females obtaining their concealed weapons permit is exciting, but calls for responsible gun ownership.

“I don’t want women to see guns as a trendy thing,” said Franco. “Having a firearm requires responsibility. It’s not, ‘I have a gun. That’s it.’ You have to learn how to clean and maintain as well.”

Sharpshooters and the Greenville chapter of The Well Armed Woman teamed up to bring Franco to the Upstate.
